The Swiss Euresearch, mandated by the State Secretariat for Education and Research (SER), The Federal Department of Home Affairs (FDHA) of Switzerland, has a Head Office in Berne and a network of Regional offices located at the universities. It informs researchers in Switzerland about European Research and most EU FP7 NCPs are working in its head office.
At the invitation of Euresearch, representatives of CECO paid a visit to the head office of Euresearch on 11 June 2007 in Berne, Switzerland and had a meeting with Mr. Olivier Küttel, Director of Euresearch. After introduction to Euresearch head office team and meeting with NCPs responsible for different fields in Euresearch, CECO made a brief introduction to CECO and Chinese participation to FP6. The two sides discussed issues and prospects of cooperation in FP7 between EU funded projects and Chinese organizations. Further discussion on CECO – Ideal-ist cooperation was held with Mr. Patrick Furrer, Vice-Director of Euresearch.
The Ideal-ist network is co-financed by the European Commission and has 49 national representatives in all EU Member States, Candidate Countries and Associated States, as well as Western Balkan Countries, Newly Independent States and Mediterranean Countries.
